Loyalty
I met Griff around 1997. We needed a transformer installed at our plant in Compton. Mike Archuleta who worked for me said he knew an electrician. Mike told me that he and Griff grew up together as kids. They were neighbors and Griff spent more time at his house than his own. Mike said when it was time to eat Griff was always there. Griff came to the shop to see me and I liked Griff. He was on time and very pleasant to talk with. I took Griff out to look at the transformer. Griff checked everything out to see what he needed to hook it up. Griff gave me a price for the job and a date when he could install it. His crew showed up on the date he said and they were on time too. His price was very fair. Griff has the best crew working for him that I have ever worked with. His foreman, Albert, is the best. Albert and all the other men that work for Griff are always very pleasant to work with. And they never leave without cleaning up the area they worked in. I always enjoyed working with Griff’s daughter Kerissa, as well. She always came to visit me and see if I had anything that they could help me with. She always brought me cookies or something to snack on. She was a very friendly and pleasant person to talk to. We have been using Griff’s Electric for 27 years. So, congratulations Griff on 40 years - you deserve it. Just a few more years and you will have 50 years like me. You have the best people working for you. Your office staff have always been very pleasant to talk to. They are very professional. This is why you have been in business for 40 years. You have the best people working for you and I mean your whole staff. It has been a pleasure all these years just knowing you. You have to be proud of what you have accomplished and of your staff. Once again - Congratulations, Griff.

Memories
When Griff got his contractor’s license all those years ago, Walter’s was, I believe, the first wholesaler to open him up and I had the honor of writing his first invoice. I was excited to do so. What was Griff’s response to the invoice? ‘You’re reaming me.’ The whole shop went hysterical and for years and years later, every time Griff would leave the store, I would hear my coworkers shouting out ‘You’re reaming me!’ Thanks a lot, Griff. 40 years, huh? Wow.

Griff worked for my Dad and I while he was attending Paramount High School. He was such a good worker, We had tried to talk him into going through an apprenticeship with us. He said, mind you he was a senior in high school, that his dream was to become an electrician. It looks like his dream came true. Congrats, Griff!
